M3U vs Xtream Codes vs MAC Activation Explained
IPTV players connect to a line in three common ways. They all show the same channels. The difference is how you sign in and which player you use.
M3U playlist
A long web address that lists your channels. You paste it into a player that supports playlists. It works in many apps, but it is easy to mistype and the guide and catch-up information can be limited depending on the player.
Xtream codes login
A server address, a username and a password. The player downloads the channels, movies, series and the TV guide for you. It is the most common method in apps such as IPTV Smarters, TiviMate and similar players.
MAC activation
The player shows a MAC address, you send it to us, and we link your line to that app. You do not type a long address or password on your TV remote. It is the easiest on a Smart TV or a box.
Which should you use?
