Marvel 4K IPTV app on a TV screen: IPTV vs Cable and Satellite: Cost and Setup

By the Marvel 4K team ยท Updated 28 October 2026

IPTV delivers television over your internet connection. Here is how it differs from a dish or a cable box in setup, contracts and cost.

Setup

Cable and satellite usually need a dish or a set-top box and sometimes an engineer visit. IPTV needs only an internet connection and an app on a device you already own: a Firestick, an Android TV box, a Smart TV or a phone. See the install guide.

Contracts

Cable and satellite often come with a fixed term. A Marvel 4K subscription is a one-off payment for the length you choose, from one month to two years. Nothing renews on its own and there is nothing to cancel.

Price

Marvel 4K plans start at $12 for one month. A 12-month plan starts at $90, about $8 a month. Compare that with your current TV bill for the channels you actually watch. See all plans and prices.

Things to check before you switch

  • Whether the channels and leagues you care about are available: ask before you pay.
  • Your internet speed: 10 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K.
  • The broadcasting and copyright rules where you live. You are responsible for following them.

Questions people ask

Do I need a satellite dish for IPTV?

No. Everything comes over your internet connection.

Can I keep my current provider while I try IPTV?

Yes. There is no contract with us, so you can try a short plan alongside your current service.

How many TVs can I use?

It depends on the plan. The plans page shows how many devices each plan covers.
